An accessible web for all

Audit a site or a single web page

With Ocawa an audit can range in size, anywhere from a single page to an entire website. Single page audits are offered for free (using the form on each page of this website). Ocawa audits are fully accessible and so can be conducted by the very users who stand to gain the most from the web accessibility movement. Of course, performing accessibility audits and displaying the results in an inaccessible manner is folly (but believe us, it happens all too often on the web!). Similarly, Ocawa's accessibility means that it is easy to use from portable devices (pdas, telephones), should an accessibility test prove useful while you are on the move.

To conduct an audit on the web, a few simple steps suffice:

  • Enter the URL of the web page to be audited, or in the case of a multi-page audit, the "starting point" for the audit.
  • The number of pages can extend to absorb the whole site. Note that the audit remains within the limits of the domain name provided for the entry URL.
  • Choose a set of rules to measure the site's accessibility.
  • In order to help us manage the load on the server the default setting is not to highlight the source code (HTML) of the page, as the overhead is high and many people want only the global statistics. If you want to examine the source code in your audit, be sure to check the box that turns on the highlighting.

This is all that is necessary to launch the audit at which point, after a short wait the audit will be completed and ready for inspection via the web, or by downloading a zip file containing the HTML documents of the results.
