Ocawa was initially conceived in 2002 as a service and not a product. Because the WWW changes rapidly, it was preferable to maintain a service that was stable and available, rather than a product which, at any given moment, only responded partially to user demands and had a limited shelf-life. Ocawa is permanently evolving.
The principle of the service model is to make the auditing power of Ocawa available via a webserver located on the internet or placed into a local network (Intranet). Because it is constructed using non-proprietary technologies, it can be installed without difficulty on many different platforms (servers running Linux or Windows) in collaboration with Apache server technology. On the web, updates of Ocawa happen automatically, and the user always benefits from the last version.
